Structures crumble, certainties dissolve, boundaries between people, places and times become blurred. While some traces are barely perceptible, others leave deep cracks. The films paint a picture of the constant struggle between preservation and decay, in which powerful yet delicate images reveal the fragility of the existing. They capture snapshots of a change that often progresses inexorably - be it through subtle media coverage or a destructive earthquake that shakes people and landscapes alike.
