MAX
BRESELE

Max Bresele (1944-1998) was an artist whose life was itself a work of art. His work was characterized by resistance, provocation and social confrontation. On behalf of the Kunstverein Weiden, Julia Weigl-Wagner has written his biography Idyllenstörer Max Bresele. The book is based on numerous interviews with companions and contemporary witnesses of the WAA resistance and paints a multi-layered picture of the artist. As part of the exhibition opening, the author will read passages from her biography and thus provide a deeper insight into Bresele's life and work.
